The Shrinking Violets are a Harrogate-based 6-piece professional Wedding, Party and Function band, available for hire in Yorkshire, including Harrogate, Leeds, York and Bradford as well as further afield.
We play classic pop, disco, funk and soul from the 60s to now and are constantly praised for our “fantastic guest interaction”. We are regularly re-booked. Every event is meticulously prepared and rehearsed for. Our clients have described The Shrinking Violets as a “highly entertaining”, “high energy”, “dancing shoes required” band.
To save you the cost of an additional disco/DJ we can play music through our PA system during our breaks between sets and for up to an hour or so after we have finished.
Band members use the highest quality professional backline equipment, and we use a Pro sound system and lighting rig. We charge reasonable rates, rather than the somewhat inflated prices that some function bands seem to charge.
As well as being one of Yorkshire’s top wedding bands for hire, we also cater for party hire, corporate events, Christmas and Birthday parties and other functions such as Charity Balls.
